2200 MILES. 14 DAYS. 2 CHARITIES

THE TOUR DE NOWHERE!

What is the Tour de Nowhere?

The TDN was a charity cycle where Liam, the owner of OSA cycled the length of the Tour de France in just 14 days. It started April 29th and finished May 12th. The twist is that he did it all outside the shop on a stationary bike! He averaged 160 Miles a day, being on the bike for 10hrs each day

Why we did it?

OSA had turned 9 years old, and to celebrate, Liam did a charity challenge! If you were around last year, you will know that our last challenge was cycling 1350 miles, the length of the UK and back home to Cardiff. We had an amazing time and raised over £6000 for 3 amazing charities. This year Liam went solo, and he turned it up a notch! 2200 miles in 14 days! We just wanted to use our little milestone and our little community for something bigger than ourselves, and so rather than just celebrate ourselves, we wanted to give back and do some good!

Who we did it for?

Our chosen charities this year were 2Wish and Velindre Cancer Centre. 2wish is a local charity that does amazing work giving families the support they need after suffering the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young adult under 25. They offer counseling, play therapy for children, support groups, and much more. The Velindre Cancer Centre is a specialist facility offering inpatient and outpatient cancer care and research. Unfortunately, many of you will probably know someone who has been under their care, and it goes without saying how important their work is.

How did it go?

Well, he did it! averaging 160 miles, 10 hours on the saddle every day for 14 days. It wasn't easy, but he got it done. We raised over £7000 for our chosen charities, and we can't thank you guys enough; the support was absolutely unreal, not only from those who donated but also those who stopped by to show support to Liam!
